San Diego Model Railroad Museum

One attraction in San Diego for railroad or model train enthusiasts is the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. The museum was started to educate the public about the different aspects of railroading, and to preserve the history of railroading, both real and model.

At 27,000 square feet, it is the largest indoor model railroad display, and the individual layouts on exhibit are amonth the largest of their type.

The model railroad layouts include:

HO Scale Tehachapi Pass
HO Scale San Diego & Arizona Eastern
N Scale Pacific Desert Lines
